Minimal Effort returns to Halloween weekend this year for its first of two 2017 reiterations, coming back stronger and bigger than before thanks to a new home and an improved, diverse lineup which, when revealed in full, will truly showcase some of the best acts in electronica, house and tech around.
What’s changed? The first and vital difference is Minimal Effort’s new home. Starting with the All Hallow’s Eve edition, which is set to take place on October 28th, Minimal Effort will relocate to Enox Events, situated just outside of the city’s Downtown area and easily accessible via public transportation and/or car.
The space has been the home of other large-scale music events for quite some time already, albeit not of an electronic music nature of the kind Minimal Effort puts on. It’s a popular destination due to its versatility and the diverse space offerings, with several large indoor warehouse spaces as well as an outdoor area perfect for a stage under the canopy of the Los Angeles stars.
This year’s All Hallow’s Eve edition will feature two stages, one indoor and one outdoor, both themed and decorated in true Halloween fashion. The space is also large enough to house dedicated VIP areas and some extra surprises, which will be announced in the next coming weeks.
The day-into-night party will take advantage of its spaces by featuring a yet-to-be announced branded stage, as well as a selection of powerful track-selectors hand-picked for the occasion. Just like with the location shell it now calls home, diversity is the name of the game with the lineup too, with house, tech house, deep house, g-house and more to be showcased. At the top of Phase 1 we find house legend MK (Marc Kinchen), joined by Crosstown Rebels head-honcho Damian Lazarus and UK house duo Dusky. Next up on the lineup is the eclectic Brodinski, who will bring his signature Atlanta-meet-Paris house sound to LA for the occasion, Do Not Sit On The Furniture founder BEHROUZ, G-House French duo Amine Edge & DANCE and LA’s very own Human Resources.
But that is not all! Phase 2 will be announced on September 25th and, unlike previous years, it will include more heavy hitters from the international electronic music scene, as well as Los Angeles-based artists. If you thought Phase 1 was all Minimal Effort had in store for you then you will realize you are mistaken when the second phase of the lineup drops this upcoming Monday.
